At MISERICORDIA FOUNDATION, our mission is to improve the socio-economic conditions of vulnerable people, women, young girls, and orphans by supporting them in their self-help initiatives for active participation in decision-making on issues of community interest and in the search for appropriate solutions to their socio-economic problems. We strive to promote and defend women’s rights in general and pursue the objective of an option of common law for all and access for all to decision-making bodies, equality of work for all.

We aim to achieve our mission through various interventions, including:

1. Health and nutrition: We improve access to quality health care, rehabilitate and build health structures, supply health structures and equip them with essential drug kits and medical equipment, and strengthen the capacities of service providers and members of community relays.
2. Water, hygiene, and sanitation: We provide care services to vulnerable populations in the targeted areas through the integrated “water, hygiene, and sanitation” package, improve access to drinking water in quantity and quality for vulnerable communities affected by the crisis, promote hygiene, and build the capacity of the population on the safe disposal of excreta, solid waste management, and environmental sanitation.
3. Protection and encouragement: We demobilize and reintegrate children associated with armed forces and groups, fight against the abusive exploitation of children, and prevent children breaking up with their families.
4. Education: We improve the study conditions of children and the quality of education by mobilizing various supervisors such as obligations and community participation, rehabilitating schools and remedial centers by strengthening the capacities of teachers, improving the nutritional situation of school children, and providing institutional support.
5. Food security and nutrition: We support nutritional surveillance and strengthen prevention in communities, promote good nutritional practices, provide capacity building on agricultural techniques within communities, support the distribution of agricultural inputs in affected localities and villages, and fight against sexual violence.
6. HIV/AIDS: We prevent mother-to-child transmission of HIV/AIDS by strengthening the capacity of service providers and supplying infrastructures with PMTCT inputs, manage pediatric cases of HIV/AIDS, promote primary prevention with adolescents/young people, and protect HIV orphans infected or affected by HIV.
7. Reforestation: We safeguard the ecosystem through reforestation of the environment.
8. Agropastoral sector: We improve the quality and quantity of production in the agropastoral sector through the rehabilitation of social and economic infrastructure.
9. Collaborative relationships: We maintain collaborative relationships with both national and international associations and organizations that campaign for real development of women, real humanitarian aid, and employment for all.

Through these interventions, we strive to achieve our mission of improving the social well-being of the vulnerable person and promoting and defending women’s rights.

2. Cohesion: We believe that social cohesion is essential to creating sustainable communities that are inclusive, respectful, and peaceful.
3. Non-Violence: We envision an Africa where violence in all its forms is a thing of the past, and people can live in safety and security without fear of harm.
4. Sustainable Development: We envision an Africa where all people have access to basic needs such as education, healthcare, food, and shelter, and where people can build prosperous and sustainable livelihoods.
5. Human Rights: We believe in the promotion and protection of human rights, including the rights of women, children, and vulnerable populations.
